About Sonal Soni- CEO
Having and envisioning a pious dream and strong WILL for working towards empowerment of women and youth, Sonal Soni obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, specializing in Psychology. She has unstoppable quest for learning new and more, she did a special course on ''Enterprise Training Course for Women” from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, one of the prestigious management institutes in India.
She started her career in 2002 with a passion and desire to fulfill her dream to do something significant in empowering women and youth. Soni is a fellow student in a doctoral program of HR in AHRD (Academy of Human Resource Development) as well.
Her Professional Journey since 2002 involved:- 1. Setting up a “Creative Kids Club”
- 2. Significant contributions in family business
- 3. Starting a Publication House
- 4. Launched a women oriented global magazine in a regional language which was a huge success.
- 5. Published books, periodicals for spiritual groups, educational institutes, social events.
During her professional journey, Soni had always wanted to do something at the grass root level; empowering women and youth. She got the opportunity through Gujarat Government’s Youth Specific Program. Since 2006, Soni has involved herself in education and training field.
Soni is also Managing Trustee in three trusts in Gujarat’s Kutch of Koli and Adivasi community which are running mainly education, schools, and hostels for rural youth. Soni is an active Rotarian member.
Soni has enthusiastically initiated and conducted Enterprise Training Programs, primarily in the area of women, adolescent girls and youth empowerment from the platform of Vidya Bharti. She aimed to instill enterprising skills amongst the target group that would form the base of an entrepreneurial mind set. This raises the awareness of self-employment, entrepreneurship in possible career options. It also helps provide specific business skills and knowledge as to how to start and successfully run an enterprise.
